What is a CSI Analysis?

Short Answer

A CSI analysis from Remend helps your business create a statement of value, determine savings opportunities, contractual flexibility and the steps to realize savings with your Oracle contracts.

In-Depth Answer

A Customer Support Identifier (CSI) is a number that is generated after you purchase services or products from Oracle. A CSI is assigned to every license order and is present in the contract document and customer portal.

Typically, discounts on a license order can range from 5-99% off the list price.

Then, you have to consider the cost of annual support, which is calculated as 18-22% of the net license price. Annual support increases up to 8% per year and compounds year over year, becoming an enormous expense, especially with the addition of new license orders.

This is how Oracle makes its money!

You never have to renegotiate the original software license contract, but it’s incredibly difficult to negotiate a better annual support deal.

A CSI analysis can help you create a statement of value, determine savings opportunities, contractual flexibility and the steps to realize savings.
